Sudoku with pictures instead of numbers
Every puzzle here can be played with tiles rather than digits. Sprouts and toadstools, pancakes and coffee, moons and comets, or plain numerals if that is what you grew up with. The logic is identical: nine of each, one per row, column and box. Only the symbols change.
That makes it a gentler way in for anyone who finds a grid of numbers hard going, and a calmer one for everybody else. All twelve tile sets share the same nine colours, so the set you pick changes the mood of the board without costing you what you have already learned to look for.
Five difficulties that mean something
Difficulty here is measured by the hardest technique a puzzle genuinely requires, not by how many tiles start on the board. A grid with fewer clues is often the easier one, so counting them tells you very little. Cozy needs nothing but spotting the last free square. Gentle asks you to scan. Steady wants locked pairs and pointing lines. Tricky brings hidden pairs and triples, and Devious needs wings and fish.
Every puzzle is checked before you ever see it: exactly one solution, and solvable by reasoning alone. You will never have to guess, and there is never a second valid answer.
Free, and quietly so
No ads, no account, no newsletter. The game runs entirely on your own device, so nothing about your play leaves your machine. It works offline once loaded and you can add it to a home screen like an app. There is a fresh daily puzzle every morning, the same one for everybody.
How your progress is kept
Your puzzle, your settings and your times are stored in this browser and nowhere else. There is no account and no sync, so clearing site data clears your progress and it will not follow you to another device.
Page visits are counted with a self-hosted copy of Umami, which is cookieless and records no personal data. It tells us how many people found the site. It does not know who you are, and it never sees anything about the puzzle you are playing.
